Hello there! Yes, you see it right - I haven't passed away yet! Real life had been real busy for me, so I didn't really have a chance to make any show-worthy mani's for you... Oh well, enough with the apologies. These blue-and-silver nails were inspired by Behind Blue Eyes by Limp Bizkit... I don't think I need to explain the obvious link here.

Hi there! In our belated spring cleaning, I found a huge amount of old polishes of my mother! I found this beautiful colour in one of our dusty cupboards and I immediately loved it. At first glance it looks like black, but in the sunlight it's more of a dark purple. I combined it with this lovely silver polish, and this is what I ended up with:
I was inspired by Broken from Seether.

Hi there! For my third post on here, I wanted to try something new. Crackle nail polish it is, then!
I'm not all that happy with this one. The dark blue I used on my pinky was darker than I thought it'd be, so the crackle effect was completely lost there. Rainbows usually don't look too shabby on short nails, but I don't think this mani is flattering on short nails like mine. In real life, it's not all that bad, but especially on pictures it makes your nails look even shorter.
This mani was inspired by The Ting Tings - Shut up and let me go. The song always makes me happy, and so do rainbow manis :)

Lectori salutem (yes, I'm a nerd),
Ever since I bought this polish, Essence nude glam #4 - Iced latte, I've been dying to make a design with it. The colour is so pretty and combines pretty well with basically every colour. Despite that, I chose to go with a classic nude-and-black combination.
Since this isn't just any nail blog, I will be posting the songs that inspired me as well. Today's mani was inspired by Peggy Lee's Why Don't You Do It Right?. The song's sweet and vintage-y, but the topic's a bit more cheeky - hence the cute pink nude in combination with some bold black. Anywho... Picture time!

I only discovered nail art about half a year ago -and I'm already hooked for life-, and ever since my first nail art attempts I've been thinking about starting a blog - so here it is!
This blog isn't just about any nail art though -there are plenty of those blogs out there already-, it'll about nail art for short(er) nails. As some might know, long nails are a huge pain in the ass when playing (mostly stringed) instruments. With this blog I'll be trying to combine my two favourite hobbies; nail polishing and playing music.
My nail polish collection/knowledge isn't huge (yet), nor do I know everything about instruments, but I will do my best for you all (... is anyone even reading this?) and most importantly, I'll try to have fun!
If you like, you can leave a comment and say hi. I'd love to talk with you :)
